Students at Wynberg Boys High School

  • Grant Martin
    Grade 10.

  • Tebogo Faas
(Grade 8 2015) is in the process of settling in to his new school (Wynberg) and home (Littlewood House, the Wynberg boarding house). He is a cheerful young man who appears to relish every minute spent at Wynberg. He attended last week’s u14 pre-season camp and has made the initial 15-man 14A squad.

  • Kyle Pluke
(Grade 10 2015) travelled to the national championships with the WP 15A team and returned a match-winning six-wicket haul. He is to undergo long overdue shoulder surgery (an old injury) at the end of the January in the hope that he’ll be fit again in time for the resumption of the season in September.

  • Kyle Verreynne
Kyle Verreynne's (Grade 12 2015) holiday achievements. Kyle scored a hundred for the WP 19A side v Free State at Coke Week in Pretoria and, in so doing, gained selection to the SA Schools' XI and, in so doing, became the first Wynberg Grade 11 to achieve this feat since Richard Levi in 2004. Further impressive performances ensued and, as a result, Kyle was named a member of the SA u19 team that will tour Bangladesh in April. The good news hasn’t ceased: Kyle is making his debut for the WP amateur side this weekend.

  • Brent Johnson
(Grade 9 2015) represented a WP invitation XI in Welkom and has already played for the Wynberg 15A team at the pre-season Somerset College Cricket Festival at the beginning of January.
